An Evening of Garden Design Conversation with Industry Leaders
Join us for a rare and intimate evening bringing together some of the most respected voices in garden design, horticulture and landscape.
Hosted by the London College of Garden Design Australia, the evening will centre around a conversation with Andrew Fisher Tomlin, guided by Brent Reid. Together they will explore Andrew’s book The Modern Professional Planting Designer, sharing some of the ideas, experiences and stories behind it, and offering a glimpse into the thinking that has influenced contemporary planting design.
What makes the evening particularly special, however, is the calibre of people who will be in the room.
Joining Andrew and Brent will be several leading figures from across the garden and landscape industry, including:
• Teena Crawford — widely regarded as one of Australia’s icons of horticulture
• Jason Hodges — one of Australia’s most recognisable garden communicators and designers
• Iftikhar Ahmed (USA) of Treeline Designz, presenting the garden Echoes of the Ancient Silk Road at this year’s show
• Martin Semken — whose decades of experience building some of the most memorable show gardens gives him unmatched insight into the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show
With a deliberately limited number of tickets available, the evening has been designed as a relaxed and conversational gathering rather than a large theatre-style talk.
It’s a chance to listen, ask questions and connect with the people shaping today’s garden design industry.
Date: Tuesday 17 March
Time: From 6pm
Location: The Botanical Hotel, South Yarra
Drinks, canapes and book signings included.
We look forward to welcoming designers, landscapers, horticulturalists and garden enthusiasts for what promises to be a memorable evening of ideas and conversation.
