Brent Reid is Director of the London College of Garden Design Melbourne. He has been involved in the Australian landscape industry for over 25 years as both designer and landscaper/horticulturalist. His landscape design practice, Candeo Design was set up in 2006 and has won awards for his many gardens including major shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Malaysia as well as working internationally and his gardens are well known from the many features in leading garden magazines and television. Brent is a member of the international Chartered Institute of Horticulture and also contributes regularly to garden media and as a tour leader for Ross Garden Tours.
Andrew Wilson is widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading garden design lecturers. He has been at the forefront of garden design teaching in the UK and overseas, for over 20 years and now teaches exclusively at our garden design school. Based in Surrey, England he is an award winning garden and landscape designer and of the McWilliam Studio based in Chiswick, working both nationally and internationally. He is a former RHS show gardens judge, a past Chairman and a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers.
Andrew is also an author and writer with 11 books to his name including the No 1 Bestseller RHS Small Garden Handbook, Contemporary Colour in the Garden, Influential Gardeners, The Book of Garden Plans and the Book of Plans for Small Gardens. He is also the founding editor of The Garden Design Journal. His work with the Studio also features in many books and publications.
Andrew Fisher Tomlin
Andrew Fisher Tomlin is a Chartered Horticulturist and a Fellow of the UK’s professional body for horticulture, the Chartered Institute of Horticulture. He is well known for creating gardens and landscapes around the world and has won many awards for his work in a number of countries including Australia, the USA and New Zealand as well as in the UK.
He founded his design company over 30 years ago. Fisher Tomlin & Bowyer continues to be a leading provider of Garden Design services in the UK under the direction of Dan Bowyer, his business partner of almost 20 years. Andrew remains a part of the team as a horticulture and planting design consultant on major projects.
Andrew has been a visiting lecturer at The Victoria & Albert Museum, London and The Smithsonian in Washington DC amongst other places. He is a Trustee of the UK horticultural industry’s charity Perennial (The Gardeners Royal Benevolent Society) and Patron of Veterans’ Growth, a charity supporting veterans facing mental health issues through horticultural therapy.
